Àü°ø(¿µ¹®) His major research field is elementary particles in the Universe. He is known as the inventor of ''Kim's axion'', sometimes called very light axion or invisible axion. Its lifetime is so long that it survives until now. There is a possibility that Kim's axions constitute about 25 percent in the current energy density of the Universe and have contributed as the seed of galaxy formation in the early Universe. He also contributed in confirming the Standard Model of particle physics by the 1981 Reviews of Modern Physics article.
